YouTube2Transcript uses the Google Consent Management Platform (CMP) provided through AdSense Privacy & Messaging. For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland, analytics and advertising storage default to denied while the CMP determines whether the regulations apply and, where required, until the visitor makes a choice. The CMP records and communicates that choice using the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework.
When analytics storage is allowed, Google Analytics may set first-party cookies such as _ga and _ga_<container-id> to distinguish users and sessions. Google states that these cookies expire after up to two years by default, although browser limits or our Analytics settings may shorten that period.
We use Google AdSense for site verification and, once our site is approved and advertising is enabled, to serve and measure advertisements. Google and its advertising partners may use cookies, local storage, device information, IP addresses, and browsing activity to prevent fraud, select and deliver ads, measure performance, and—only when the applicable consent choice permits it—personalize ads. When personalization consent is not available, Google may serve non-personalized or limited ads.

We do not sell personal information for money. Advertising-related processing may be considered “sharing” or “targeted advertising” under some privacy laws; where applicable, the CMP provides consent or opt-out controls. We do not use submitted YouTube links, video IDs, video titles, transcript text, or clipboard contents for advertising profiles, model training, or ad targeting.
The application does not maintain a user, submitted-link, or transcript database. In-memory rate-limit records normally last no longer than the one-minute rate window. Hosting security and diagnostic logs, Google Analytics data, AdSense data, and consent records are retained according to the applicable provider settings and policies. We keep information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above.
Our users and service providers may be located in different countries. Information may therefore be processed outside your country. Where required, service providers use safeguards for international transfers under applicable law.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection concerning personal information, and to withdraw consent where processing relies on consent. Because we do not create user accounts or intentionally store transcript requests, we may hold little or no information that can be linked back to you.

The service is not directed to children under 13, or under the minimum age required in their country to use an online service independently. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided personal information may contact us.
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures, including transport encryption, input validation, output sanitization, security headers, request timeouts, and rate limiting. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
We may update this policy when the service, providers, or legal requirements change. The date at the top shows the latest revision. Material changes will be presented on this page before or when they take effect.
