These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of youtube2transcript.com and the YouTube2Transcript service operated by Chi Shuaishuai ("we," "us," or "our"). By using the service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
YouTube2Transcript lets you submit a YouTube video link and, when captions are available, view, copy, or download the caption text with timestamps. The public tool is currently free and does not require registration.
The service depends on third-party systems that we do not control. A transcript may be unavailable, incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, translated, or auto-generated. Features and availability may change without notice.
You must be at least 13 years old and old enough to enter into these Terms under the law where you live. If you are not legally able to agree on your own, a parent or legal guardian must agree for you.

YouTube2Transcript is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by YouTube or Google. "YouTube" and related marks belong to their respective owners.
Video, audio, captions, and transcript text remain subject to the rights of their creators and other rightsholders. The service does not grant you ownership of or a new license to third-party content. Your use of YouTube and its content remains subject to YouTube's Terms of Service and applicable law, including any quotation, fair-use, educational-use, or licensing rules in your jurisdiction.
We and our licensors own the website's software, visual design, branding, and original site content, excluding third-party content. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the website for its intended purpose.
No payment is currently required for the public transcript tool. "No limits" describes the product experience and does not remove reasonable anti-abuse controls, technical constraints, or third-party availability limits. We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue any part of the service, and may introduce additional formats or paid features in the future.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every video, device, or browser. We do not warrant the accuracy, completeness, legality, or fitness of any transcript for academic, journalistic, legal, accessibility, medical, or other purposes. Verify important quotations against the original video.
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded in your country.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages; loss of data, profits, reputation, or opportunity; third-party content; or reliance on transcript accuracy. Where liability cannot be excluded, our aggregate liability relating to the free service will be limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for the service during the preceding 12 months or USD $10.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limits, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
Where permitted by law, you agree to defend and indemnify us against claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of the service, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of another person's rights. This obligation does not apply to the extent a claim results from our own unlawful conduct.
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator, without overriding mandatory consumer protections or rights available in your country. Before starting a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally. Nothing here prevents either party from seeking urgent legal relief or using a court or consumer process that cannot lawfully be waived.
We may revise these Terms as the service or applicable requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. Continued use after revised Terms take effect constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
